Leviathan

With true origins unknown, leviathans were believed to be made by the Gods in some less meaningful way than humans - disregarded and made not in their image. Sometimes called lokies, leviathans are upright, bipedal draconian folk. Complete with chitinous scales and horns and tails, digitigrade legs, and clawed fingers and toes. They are tied with humans as the species with the largest population.

There is a story passed down through oral history that leviathans swam from the distant ocean to Ladyday. As such, they called themselves leviathans - great creatures of the sea.

The Draconic Mantle

The horns, or the 'mantle' of a leviathan are sacred, a broken horn to some can be a sign of dishonour or weakness, a shameful thing. As such, those with broken horns often have ones tailor-made from precious metals to slot onto what remains of the previous horn, acting as a glamorous replacement. It is also unacceptable to touch one's horns unless they are familially or romantically related to the individual in question. It is also not uncommon to adorn horns with jewellery or silks: horn caps and chains, rings that settle in the ridges of their horns and colourful linen to wrap and hang from them.
